Dear Reader,

A little over 2 weeks ago, the north pole hotline rang, It’s a big red phone connected directly between Santa and Lichfield Round Table.

Santa explained that he was going on holiday as the lockdown happened. Not wanting to risk returning to the North Pole to live with his elves (some of them are over 100 years old), Santa decided to come back to his secret Christmas base in Lichfield.

Fast forward a few weeks and Lichfield Round Table have been meeting using video conferencing. Last week, to our surprise, Santa joined us online. We explained that our children were sometimes feeling saddened that they could not see their friends, play on the playgrounds or go to school.

In a flash, Santa told us to grab the Lichfield Sleigh. He would come and fill the streets with cheer, even if its not Christmas and he should be on holiday!

He’s even bringing his holiday playlist of party tunes!!!

So come to your windows, come to your doors, come and give keyworkers a round of applause.

Santas here to lighten the mood, and if you can, please donate some food!

So stand on your doorstep and wiggle your hips, Sing with Santa and move those lips.

See you soon
Lichfield Round Table

For information on where we will be, please check our facebook page. Our plans are flexible and are evolving daily. Unlike our military operation at Christmas, we will designate an area, and operate until we are full of donations or out of time.
For difficult roads, runners will collect donations while the Sleigh stays at the top of the road. Please do come and wave, but please maintain your distanace between others in your street.

  • Track Santa to find out where he is
  • Check the Lichfield Round Table Facebook page
  • If he is nearby, and you are able, please leave a small donation of non perishable food item(s) in a plastic bag at the end of your driveway or street.
  • Come to your doors, dance, whoop, cheer, clap and smile
  • Take photos and share the love, tag Lichfield Round Table or #lichfieldsanta

  • Try and give us money
  • Approach the sleigh
  • Try and give anything to our helpers in person
  • Follow the Sleigh in vehicles
  • Breach social distancing rules

As we drive around, a small team are collecting food donations on behalf of Helping Each Other Lichfield (and surrounding areas)

Food donations are being distributed to those in need or at risk in these unprecedented circumstances.

If you can spare a single item or a small bag of non perishable food items, please leave them in a plastic bag at least 2 meters from your door or at the end of your street by the road sign. We will do our best to spot and collect all of them, however, if we miss one, please take it back inside and keep it until you see us again.

Thank you in advance for your kindness.
